If you’ve been looking at your smile and wishing it were brighter, straighter, more “megawatt,” the great news is that you can achieve that brilliant new smile in just three weeks. We have a few ways to add sparkle to your smile and all of them can be completed in a short time period.

1. Lumineers

Lumineers are a superior type of veneer which provide a solution to many unsightly problems. Lumineers can correct:

» Badly stained or discolored teeth
» Unevenly shaped teeth
» Gaps between teeth
» Moderately misaligned teeth

Lumineers are a great improvement over traditional veneers. They’re very thin but quite strong. Your teeth only need to be lightly etched to create a strong bond between Lumineers and your teeth, which means no drilling is required. Patients choosing this method of enhancing their smiles say that the process is pain-free and their result is completely natural-looking.

When you decide on Lumineers to improve your smile, we’ll first make a mold of your current smile and find out exactly what improvements you want to make. We’ll determine if those improvements can be made with just a few Lumineers or whether you’ll need several. We’ll then work with you to determine the shade of porcelain that will look completely natural with your other teeth. All this information and the mold will then be sent to the Lumineers lab.

When your Lumineers come in, the front of your teeth will be etched slightly to ensure a strong bond and then we’ll permanently place the Lumineers. For most patients, the job is completed in just two short office visits less than two weeks apart.

Much Faster than Braces
When your teeth are just moderately misaligned, poorly shaped or there are gaps between them, Lumineers give you the chance to correct the alignment, shape and spacing of your teeth in just one step. If there is any discoloration, it is concealed as well.

2. Zoom! For Whitening Your Smile

When teeth have suffered from staining, yellowing or darkening due to smoking, dark foods or aging, ZOOM! tooth whitening can return a youthful brilliance to your teeth. ZOOM! whitening is applied in our office and takes less than an hour. We also offer take-home whitening products with custom-fit whitening trays. Within two to three weeks of at-home treatment, you should see a remarkable brightening of your smile.

3. Crowns To Repair Cracked Or Damaged Teeth

When a tooth has been a little too damaged to be repaired with Lumineers, a crown is often the right choice. Teeth that have been cracked or broken or that have been weakened with large fillings benefit from the protection of a crown matched to the rest of your smile. In just one step, your appearance gets a boost and the integrity of your tooth is preserved with a natural-looking crown. With our same-day service on crowns, there’s no delay in completing this enhancement to your appearance and self-confidence.

Let us know theimprovements you want to make to your smile. We’ll work with you to develop the exact treatment plan to give you the result you want. Imagine yourself, just three weeks from now, with a bright, beautifully-shaped smile. Call us today to ask any questions you might have or to get started on the road to that brilliant new smile.

While we offer professional teeth whitening services, there are plenty of things you can do at home to keep your teeth white. Here are some tips for keeping that smile dazzling.

Tips For Whiter, Brighter Teeth

Avoid Staining:

Dark foods tend to darken your teeth. If you’re intent on stain prevention, foods to avoid include: blueberries, beets, marinara sauce, soy sauce, coffee, tea, grape or cranberry juice, red wine and colas.

Reach for raw foods that help remove surface stains, like nuts, carrots, apples and cauliflower. Celery, apples, pears, and carrots also stimulate the flow of saliva which helps keep your teeth cleaner.

Smoked and smokeless tobacco also stain teeth so this is a good reason to stop smoking or not start.

Good Oral Hygiene:

Don’t neglect your brushing and flossing. Use a soft-bristle brush for two full minutes twice a day. After each meal is even better. If you can’t brush after eating, rinse your mouth thoroughly. Remember to replace your toothbrush every three months or when you see the bristles start to bend.

Whitening Toothpastes:

Use a whitening toothpaste at home, but be aware that these toothpastes are more abrasive than regular toothpastes. The abrasiveness of whitening toothpastes varies wildly, so ask us about the best products to use at home and consider not using a whitening product every time you brush.

Be sure to see us twice a year for cleanings and exams. If you have concerns about the whiteness of your teeth, ask us about the benefits of more frequent cleanings to keep those “pearly whites” shining bright.
